There will be someone keeping a vigil for something, all the time. For their (good) wish to happen, for them to have Lord Muruga’s (Subramanya Swamy) blessing to surround them, there is a single source of truth. Yes! The first Chathru Samhara Yagna was conducted by Agastya Muni in Panchesti as per the orders of Lord Muruga, in the presence of Goddess Gauri. There are many types of mantras mentioned but the foremost and that which makes one’s wish come true is – “Subramanya Moola Mantra Thrishathi” slokha.

The link for this slokha’s recitation is given here – Subramanya Moola Manthra Thrishathi

May you all be blessed by Lord Subramanya and Guru Agastya!

Kandha Shashti is when Lord Muruga defeated Surapadma. There is something to understand. Muruga looked at Love alone and mentioned ‘Love is Shivam’. Will he kill? No. He destroyed the evil in Surapadma and transformed him. Those who do not understand this create Surapadma’s idol, enact that Muruga takes his head off and from there comes the Seval (cock). Lord Muruga mentions about eating vegetarian, to develop Sathvik thoughts, Sathvik actions and thereby a Sathvik, Love filled world, will he kill? Sura Samharam is the perfect event of overpowering one’s evil (within). When evil is defeated within, know that Subramanya is conducting a Sura Samhara within. The evil comes in from external sources. Subramanya is the very embodiment of knowledge. He is the knowledge of external.

Lord Agastya says the following:

The heart is Sravana Pond (Saravana Poigai). This pond sends the blood through the canals called blood nerves. The pond is filled with blood. If one takes care of this pond without evil, this remains pure. Attachment, greed and all sorts of evil spread in this like algae. If one gets the devotion in to their heart, it is a blissful life. Muruga is the one who plays in this pond. Those who keeps this pond pure and with the thought of Him, then He makes this pond His, changes it to His attributes. Those with good thoughts can live a good life.

A Siddha says:

குறவன் குடிசை புகுந்தாண்டி
கோமாட்டி எச்சில் உமிழ்ந்தாண்டி

Kuravan is the form that Muruga took to marry Valli, who was a Kurathi. He entered the hut, the Siddha says. Then he says that the body in which this Kurava is entered, the thought purified with devotion, even the saliva becomes Ganga water. He plays in this Ganga (He and His name are no different). When His name is chanted, we experience Himself.

The holy feet is Nadha Brahmam as denoted by Nataraja with His index finger pointing His feet (to be devoted to Him). If one holds on to Nadha Brahmam (Nama Japa), then they can control the world within and attain Brahma Gnana. It seems Muruga searched for a place where He can keep His love and decided to keep it in His devotees’ hearts and entered those hearts.

If one converts their ‘I’ and ‘Mine’ to the Lord’s ‘I’ and ‘His’, then their ‘I and Mine’ becomes the universal I and Mine. Those who close their eyes and think of Lord Muruga and get their internal eye opened up, they are blessed indeed. Muruga is always in our hearts, speaking Brahma Gnana. But His voice is subtle and is not heard when the 5 senses talk aloud. One should subdue these noises with the chant of ‘Muruga!’.

It seems Muruga decided not to have three eyes due to His mercy towards the Jiva. Six faces, 12 hands with weapons. His appearance is blissful. Other than the Vel, the remaining 11 are the elevan Rudras. Vel is the embodiment of Knowledge. The cock flag is Nadha Thathva, the peacock is virility, Valli and Deivayanai are the Ichcha and Kriya Shakthi. Deivayanai is like the devotees searching for God. Markata Nyayam (like how the baby monkey holds its mother tight). Valli is the heroin. It is like the God coming to the devotees. Marjala Nyayam (like how the mother cat protects the kitten by carrying them in her mouth). The Vel is to give Gnana to the Atma. This Gnana can be obtained when the Ichcha and Kriya are destroyed.

O devotees of Agastya! I pray you may all blessings through His grace. Below is a link for Subramanya Karavalambam and Subramanya Bujangam, please save it.

The holy trinity will grant all the you ask for and make you get stuck in the whirlpool of vasanas and birth-rebirth. There is a ‘Paraparam’ above them. They do not have the rights to show you that. Lord Subramanya tells Agastya that if someone follows the path that He shows, then that person may attain that Paraparam, in his ‘Subramanya Gnanam’ – note that this is way too different than the Abrahamic religion of cursing those non-believers to eternal hell. Lord Subramanya has given this upadesha only to Agastya. If at all Lord Subramanya or Agastya Himself bestows this Gnana to us, there is no way one will know. The one who realizes the Paraparam releases himself from the birth cycle.

Subramanya, the chief of Siddhas

What is Shaivism, who is the founder of Shaivism? – this is answered by Ramaswamy Gurukon, who is an ardent devotee of Lord Muruga. It is surprising to know the definition of Shaivism.

‘Without killing any living being, by consuming the ones blessed by nature, by itself, and those who lives with a control of five senses are Shaivaites. Those who kill other living beings and grow their bodies won’t have ‘Thaadhu Suddhi’ which is required for attaining the Siddha Marga.

Between our eye brows is a glowing light of six petals. This light is called ‘Shanmukam’ as mentioned by wise men. Plus, three feet above our Mooladhara is a Nadi which is of six heads towards the left. This is called Subramanyam. The six senses, the light on the six ‘Adharas’ are called Shanmukam as well. Our mind is like a cave. Lord Muruga is like the light inside that cave. He is therefore called as Guha (gufa, gukai are some names which denotes the cave). Guhyam is referred to very secretive as well. As ordinary people cannot reach, He is named as Guha as well, they say.

While explaining the concept of Valli and Deivayanai, when our devotion is truthful and when searched for Gnana (God), the darshan is obtained. This is explained as the Deivayanai’s wedding. While if one remains with steadfast, true devotion, then the Lord Almighty will come to us himself – is denoted by Muruga coming in search of Valli for the union. As per the request of the Devas, Parameshwara appeared with His five faces plus the sixth as that of Ambika. The hill top denotes the intention of realizing one’s true light within and that true light on the hill top is Muruga, the very Gnana itself. Hence they mentioned that every mountain is the abode of Lord Subramanya (குன்றிருக்கும் இடம் எல்லாம் குமரன் இருக்கும் இடம்).

If the physical body is purified, the Lord assumes the place of the spirit. This is the concept of Thiru Avinan Kudi. It is not sufficient to just say ‘Muruga’ but it has to mix thoroughly with our very being itself. Then every word we speak becomes Sathya Vaak.

Those who chant Sa Ra Va Na Bhava with Om in front obtain the Mukthi.
Those who add ‘Om Hreem’ in front gets their ignorance removed.
Those who add ‘Om Kleem’ appear like Manmadha, the God of Love.
Those who add ‘Om Aiym’ gets the eloquency of creating poetries.
Those who add ‘Om Shreem’ gets all their miseries removed and remain blissful.

In addition to these, here are some rare information about Karthikeya.

While typing the incidents of Perumal & Adiyen, an episode talks about Adi Sesha recommending about Garuda to the Lord Almighty with such compassion and empathy. This raised a question within. Adi Sesha is a serpent form which is embodiment of poison and ferociousness. How come there is so much of compassion attribute in him? Why did the Lord assume such a being as His bed? What is the inner meaning of it? I asked Agastya Muni Himself.

In ‘Guha Thrayam’, when explaining about Lord Subramanya, He says that it is Lord Muruga Himself who assumed the form of Adi Sesha for Lord Narayana! Muruga is the very form of Brahma Gnana. Every God attribute of Sanatana Dharma has the snakes in some or other form. Lord Narayana chose it to be His bed. Even today, Lord Subramanya is worshipped in the snake form in Andhra and Karnataka (Kukke Subramanya for an example).

Another question likewise. A human is recommended to worship five different God attributes (Panchathayana Pooja), they are: Ganesh, Surya, Shiva, Shakthi and Vishnu. Lord Subramanya is not included in this. How can such a pooja be fulfilled without the worship of Subramanya Swamy?

The answer surprises us.

Surya Pooja – grants everything.
Ganesh Pooja – wards off every obstacle.
Shiva Pooja – bestows Gnana.
Shakthi Pooja – to experience all the above, this becomes the Shakthi in the physical body.
Vishnu Pooja – ensures there is no loss, protects and ensures that all these are experienced.

All the five poojas done above leads oneself to Brahma Gnana – which is Lord Subramanya Himself! All the poojas done to the above 5 goes to Subramanya. If Subramanya Swamy alone is worshipped, one gets the benefit of worshipping all five. Only those who are with Gnana can love others. Those with Brahma Gnana can take incarnations. Those who attained the Siddha Marga are the ones with Brahma Gnana. Then the next question came.

Who came as Jesus Christ?

When one thinks of Jesus, the attribute of forgiveness, even to the enemies, the resurrection etc., makes one think He must have been a Siddha himself, even so, the Siddha who is most merciful. When asked about this to Agastya, He replied: “It was Bhoga himself who came as the Cross-man (“சிலுவைக்காரனாக வந்ததே போகன்தானடா!”)

Lord Narayana says that Agastya is like His right hand. In Tirupathi, He appeared before a priest as Narasimha and says: “Agastya is beloved to me. Do not talk ill of Him.” If such a person prays to the Lord, then the Almighty grants it immediately. For example, when Agastya Muni went to Kutrala and stroked the idol of Lord Narayana with love, He transformed himself as Shiva Linga. This should be taken as the Lord is beyond all forms, attributes or any specific type of worship but surpasses everything. When the devotees opposed this figure transformation, Agastya argued with them for 5 days with Goddess Shakthi as the judge and transformed the Narayana devotees who decided to leave the town in to Siddhas and joined them with Him.

One should pay attention here. Those who wants to be in Siddha Marga should have the quality of forgiving even those who oppose them and to enjoin themselves, to have such a broad mind.

One should change their belief system from ‘Let it happen, then we shall believe’ TO ‘We believe, hence it will happen’.

Let us embrace this thought for the coming days are of the Siddhas’. The potential chance of being guided by a Siddha, to be blessed by them in whatever form they choose to come in, this rare opportunity should not be missed because of our inferior thinking. Hence I emphasize this!

Shri Hanumath Dasan had written a book on the Sundara Kandam (as mentioned in the post Sugam Tharum Sundara Kandam) and had mentioned the experiences he obtained when writing the book, to Shri Karthikeyan. This series is explained in the view of Shri Karthikeyan.

That day began like any other. I woke up at Brahma Muhurtha, cleansed myself physically and mentally, did dhyana and japa, prostrated before Agastya Muni and praised him. But a thought rose up and I decided to ask the Maha Muni Himself. I asked this.

“I asked this already and You said ‘I’d bless when the right time comes. The time is running. Many have written the holy Charitha of Sri Rama. Can you not bless this soul to write His charita (story) and publish?”

“Why do you have this impatient mind? Time has come. I was about to say this myself and you’re asking just so. In the coming Guruvar, in Brahma Muhurtha, you may begin through the grace of Almighty. He gave His consent. As we narrate, listen to them and write. Everyday before you begin, you must pray to the First one (Ganesha) and the son of Vayu (Hanuman) and seek their blessings. Through their grace, everything will get completed safe and sound. Blessings!” – when He said this, I could not believe my own eyes. I placed the Nadi in its place and prostrated before Agastya, thanking Him. When I came out of the room, I was full of sweat in that early morning, that much of nervousness due to happiness.

The mind became restless as I began to walk here and there thinking. Who will get such a blessing? How many years of prayers? He said He will narrate. Whatever He says must be written as it is, exactly as it is. No need of questions like why, how etc., If I ask anything, what if He gets angry and refuse to narrate further? I must remain very patient. If He Himself is going to narrate the Charita of Sri Rama, all the other Siddhas will definitely come to listen to it. So I must write them in the pooja room only. Only after completing that days’ part should I even see anyone else. This should be a surprise gift for everyone. The thoughts were raging.

With 4 days for the Thursday, Agastya Muni drove me to many a temples to seek blessings. In every temple, somehow or the other, someone would identify me and help me have a good darshan. I got very good respect and hospitality in all the temples. The darshan was till I was very satisfied. The happenings were very surprising to say the least.

“He drove me to all these places with all the preparations done already.” – I thought. My mind was floating in spiritual bliss in every temple I visited. I was like a wet paper with a very light mind on Wednesday. I entered the pooja room, thanked the Maha Muni and placed the request, “Please bless me to write the Rama Charita through Your narration from tomorrow in the Brahma Muhurtha”.

As I lay down, I was waiting when the Brahma Muhurtha would come where a thought ‘the rain falls for everyone due to even one’s pious mind’ came to mind. As I began to think the meaning of what it means, I had slept off. We can think whatever we want, but what happens at the end is decided by the Almighty and the Siddhas. There will be a reason for why such things happen, even if our mind doesn’t accept it. Those who walk in the spiritual path know this very well. Those who are beginning in their spiritual journey will be gasped at this, often would stop their beginning right there without knowing that it is just a test.

But I realized that Agastya Maha Muni was determined about something only when He came in that Brahma Muhurtha the next day.

Agastya came in the Nadi and began.

“With the grace and order of Almighty, for the world and the beings to realize themselves and thereby realize the Almighty, this Kadhai is being narrated to you. It is sufficient if the important nutrients reaches others. Hence when it is given in the written format, what goes out is only what the Almighty grace wills. The Sri Rama Katha will be narrated to you in its whole. The mankind undergoes many a sufferings because of their Karmic effects. Whatever they do, the fate does not loosen its grip. Through the almighty’s grace, to loosen the fate’s grip, where It has placed its grace subtly in which Sloka, I shall tell. Broadcast it. Ramayana will be narrated to you in my words. You will realize that.”

I interrupted, “A small request. If the entire Ramayana is narrated by you, if I publish it in its entirety as exactly as You said, my humble self will feel that it has completed Your bidding completely through Your grace. Can’t you please bless me with that?” – I placed this wish to the Maha Muni as it is.

“True! The world will benefit out of it. But the Almighty has not permitted for it has many divine subtleties. For now, whatever sloka are shown, when narrated, how it can benefit the mankind from what kind of problems, just publish them and be satisfied that you have done the bidding of the Lord Himself. There is a reason behind every single thing that happens. Control your mind so it does not get controlled by desires, just accept things as it is narrated, note down whatever is being said to be noted down and make it in written format for the benefit of the world. I shall take care of the rest through His grace.”

“My Son! In all these yugas, how many ever times it has been requested, only now that Almighty has agreed to narrate His story through my tongue just now. I only know for how long I have been fighting to get this permission. I am narrating this right after I got the permission for the welfare of mankind. Understand this first, then you shall know the mindset of a Siddha.”

I understood completely and remained silent, completely.

When mankind knows ‘why’ they got a trouble, a silence occupies them. When I came to know the truth in this incident, the same silence occupied me. Whatever mistakes the mankind does, it is only the Siddhas we have, who talks on behalf of us, to get the grace of the Lord. If not for them, if the Almighty’s grace isn’t there, the mankind must have been even more a savage than they are. Though they do not talk to us directly, I realized that second that the Siddhas are trying their best yugas after yugas for the mankind, to guide them in the right direction, to get us forgiveness and to make us live peacefully. I firmly resolved that it is completely Agastya’s grace hereafter.

Before Rama Katha began, He analyzed the horoscope of Sri Rama in detail and made me understand. To make mankind understand its greatness, the Lord Almighty proved how far can one withstand difficulties and chose the time when all the grahas were in their Uchcha (heights). When the mankind was thinking that it becomes a great life if all the grahas are in their Uchcha, the birth of Sri Rama subtly showed how much of a struggle one may have to undergo, through this Avatar, Agastya said.

I paid utmost attention in making notes of what He said, all in my mind only. I wasn’t permitted to make notes in the written form. The Sri Rama Katha began from His childhood, the gurukul, how Sage Vishwamithra took Him along, to make Him realize His own greatness, to strongly emphasize the importance of ‘there is no better mantra than one’s Father’s words’ according to Sri Rama Himself, to clarify why King Janaka’s daughter Sita, why did She take the avatar, in everything, how the Almighty expressed the resolve, there is no words to explain. All I could feel is – how blessed Sage Vishwamithra is!

I felt that even if 1% of the blessing that Vishwamithra got, if a man gets it, he would attain moksha and will live in the holy feet of Lord Narayana all the time, I felt. The story of Sri Rama grew and grew. As I was more focussed on it, I did not realize the changes it was making within myself. But I can only say, the mind was like that of a cotton, very light.

“Let us pause here for today! I shall narrate in another good muhurtha. I have to go and do my regular pooja, dhyana and nithya-karma. Blessings to you!” – paused the great Siddha.

“A small request.” – I thought of asking.

“What, I haven’t allowed you to record anything right? When the right time comes, We shall let you know what the Lord mentioned. Till then, listen to what I say with patience. What do you know about the Lord’s orders? I shall tell you. It is enough then.” – He replied without me having to ask.

He matches only Himself in knowing what we are going to ask and to reply us, I thought. I prayed to Vinayaka and Hanuman and placed the Nadi in the holy feet of Sri Rama in my pooja room. Then I did a sashtanga namaskara and sat for meditation, “Om Agatheesaya Namaha” – I began to do japa.

Om Sree Lopamudra Sametha Agatheesaya Namaha!

You might be surprised that the episodes of Perumal & Adiyen came to an rather surprising halt. Why the Agastya Muni came in Jeeva Nadi and narrated it, why was it stopped were shared by Shri Karthikeyan (the composer of the original Tamil series of The Grace of Siddha) are being given here. Please try to understand these from their original standpoint.

The wish of everyone to be happy is the fundamental reason for which Dharma is established in this Earth. The Siddhas’ thought flow is just the same, implemented for they do not have any expectation. They don’t wish anything for themselves. How much ever one is distracted or deviated in this Kali Yuga, how much ever mistakes they may have done, the Siddhas pray to the Almighty for these people’s forgiveness and with the Lord’s permission, they started the “Nadi” and wrote down every possible things about this world in palm leaves. They also created the method of answers appearing as letters for specific questions asked, then and there. This type of Nadi is called Jeeva Nadi for Jeeva means ‘the alive one or life’. All the Siddhas have Jeeva Nadi for themselves. Those humans who are held responsible for keeping these Nadis with them explain the remedial measures mentioned by the Siddha for a specific problem and help them. Such examples are numerous in this Earth.

The karmic effects accumulated by actions done even in their previous births can be easily spotted by the Siddhas for they know all three phases of time (past, present and future). It is not that easy for someone to possess such a Jeeva Nadi. It is rare to have darshan of a divine soul. How rare it is to be in a constant touch with one of the greatest of divine souls! To obtain such a person as friend is great indeed, for one does not need anything else in this world then. How if such a person is placed in the seat of a Guru? All these but require divine grace, also the guidance of Siddha.

The thought of sharing those good things which were shared by such a friend, to all those who are earnestly searching for ‘answers’ in the Siddha Marga resulted in the blog “Sitthan Arul”. Even the title was given by Guru Agastya.

We never expressed our friendship to others. We had an amazing clarity in it. He was rightful to call me ‘Dei’ (a means of calling another friend, younger ones in Tamil). But even such a thing may cause others to look at me differently he thought and gave utmost respect to me when speaking. This grew the respect I have for him. Also, I had realized many a times that though he is a separate individual, Agastya Maha Muni was speaking through him and being with him in Aruba form. It is the truth as well. He never thought of getting any fame for himself, never. Everyone praise the Siddhas, is what he says always. He had the firm belief that his very life is to live the way the Maha Muni wants. He never cares about the next minute for he believed that Agastya Muni will take care of it.

I listened to him and changed my life for good. The changes he brought in me made me treat him as my guru. He is my Manaseeka Guru (to consider oneself as a guru within one’s mind, though not explicitly mentioned or expressed, like how Ekalaiva considered Drona as his guru). During one of the conversations he said, “I never care for this body. Therefore whatever happens, no one should worry. Agastya will take care of everything.”

I realized that something is happening, something is about to happen and said, “Why this word, at this time?”

Then he opened up like a reservoir and said many a things from which I could understand many a things. Everything happens through the divine will. Our job is to reduce the Vasanas (desires accumulated over births!) as much as possible, I realized. He handed over a script through one of his relatives. When asked, he said: “Let it be with you. You may get the auspiciousness of serving Agastya Muni. I shall pray as well. To nullify your karma, to reduce the Vasanas in it, is possible for Agastya Muni. Keep it safe and use it.”

I gave a lengthy thought and kept it with myself. One of them were the episodes of Perumal & Adiyen. But it was not completed. I asked: “What will I do with this which is not completed yet?”

“Hmm…wrong question. You should have asked – why is this paused here? When will Agastya Muni give the remaining ones.”

“True indeed. Why did all the information Agastya mentioned stopped suddenly?”

“It’s been 6 months since I got the order. He ordered His name should not be used, which was used everywhere. He said it should be forgotten and asked me to stay away from everyone and everything.”

Though I was shocked on hearing His order, I asked politely. “Please explain if you can.”

“Agastya Muni was explaining the situation on how the Seven Holy Hills were named. Five of them have been explained and I was waiting for the reason for the Sixth. It was my job to take a copy on what Agastya Muni says in the Nadi every day. I was waiting that day as well but just how He appears in Nadi after me praying, He did not come. Something happened or was happening, hence He did not come I thought, and placed the Nadi in the holy feet of Sri Rama in my Pooja Room and came out.”

“Three days passed by. Agastya never made me feel uncertain like this before. I even began to think what mistake I had made, none came to my mind. I didn’t know what to do and I meditate upon Himself. Normally, if He does not say anything, I won’t dare to ask why. As He remained silent, even the slightest of my courage dissolved. It was a Thursday, Guruvar, so I had faith that Guru Agastya will definitely appear and I waited. He came and spoke, I felt very happy.

Agastya Perumane! For three days I am waiting for you. Please forgive me if I had done any mistake. Please narrate the reason for the naming of the other two holy hills too.”

The answer which came shocked me, very much.

“As We said before, stay away from everyone and everything. You have to forget your name. You must forget your face. The Lord has stopped explaining the naming ceremonies of His holy hills. When I asked the reason, He asked me to go and pray to the Lord of Mount Kailash why. I went straight to Mount Kailash and hence could not speak to you for three days.”

I was confused, but He knows everything, so I remained silent. He continued..

“I stood before the Three Eyed Lord Almighty in Kailash. It was blissful. He asked the reason for my visit. I said that it is a Punya to come and have His darshan in Kailash Mountain. He then asked me to come straight to the point. I said:

“I was narrating how the Holy Hills at Tirumala were named after Lord Narayana’s orders. But He asked me to stop and when I humbly inquired why, He asked me to check with The Three Eyed Lord, You O Mahadeva. Hence I came here. Pray, please guide me.”

“The time for Agastya’s son who reads Nadi is about to end. The time for his return is coming closer. So the Lord of Seven Hills took His orders back. Certain things happen only as per it’s fate.”

“A request O Lord. For the humankind to walk in the path of Dharma, there are quite a few things to do, as You know. Hence I chose this son. I earnestly request to extend this son’s life by another ten years.”

“Lord Shiva replied: “No Agastya! I don’t have any intention to change his fate. He has to come back. You may go. The time will help you in your mission.” – I requested Him many a times but His decision did not change.

“All these are happening as per the Lord’s divine will. Am I even affected by the love of son, I thought and I came back from Kailash Mountain. This may disturb you as a human, may have its effect. Just abandon every attachment. At the right moment, We shall appear and take you back.” – and the Maha Muni remained silent.”

All these shattered me like thunder, but I gained some sense and asked.

“Ok but when..? In how many days? How? When? Did the Maha Muni mention?” – I asked nervously.

He smiled, “What? You are an ordinary person? Will He say such a time? It is the Almighty’s will. Just stay calm. Keep what is given to you safe. You will get the sowbhagya (blessing) of serving Agastya Muni. Hold on to it tightly and climb up and reach there. See you later, bye.” – Agastya’s son bid farewell to me.

I was silently watching Him walking back slowly. It was the last time I saw him, met him.

The days ran. There were many changes in his body. After a few days, in spite of all the medications given in the hospital, His Atma left His physical body.

I was shocked. I did not speak to anyone for a week’s time, did nothing. Even the day to day activities were stopped. I did not have the slightest will to do anything. I sat in front of Agastya’s picture and kept staring at it. I felt it was a great loss, like how something is uprooted totally. I felt whoever they are going around me, did not realize who they were, even someone speaking was heard.

“It is certain for those who has taken the human birth. Come out of this. Many such things will happen. Just accept them as the God’s will and do what is assigned to you as a duty.” – someone came closer to my ears and whispered these, I heard this very clearly within my head when I was seated in meditation with my head down, eyes closed. I opened my eyes and looked to my right. As if a fierce power in the form of air came and said this and went away. Who was it, was it my Friend? Was it Agastya? Was it a Siddha? I would not know.

After a brief silence I began to think again and decided that ‘Someone is with us. Let us do what is instructed.’ and tried coming back to normalcy. It took a few days to come out of the grief however. On a morning during meditation, something urged and so I kept this request thinking of Agastya Muni.

“My Friend has shared many a things with me. I want Your permission to have it broadcasted to the people of this world. I only ask this so the name of my Friend and Agastya be known. It will be an opportunity for me to have served You and my Friend. All the fame I may get, I offer to you. If there are any mistakes, please forgive them as mine. I humbly expect Your permission.” – I kept this request and went out to take care of other things.

It was evening when I came back. I felt I should take bath and sit for meditation. I did so and within five minutes I heard…

“My blessings are with you”

I closed my eyes and wanted to see who said this. There stood Agastya Muni with His right hand raised up in a blessing form. I was so immersed in bliss that I stood and fell at His direction. He said: “Let auspiciousness be.”

I requested, “O Lord, please guide me and give it a suitable name yourself.”

It was Him who named the series, “Siththan Arul” – then to make everyone understand its subtlety, the present administrator changed the series to “Agastya Muni’s Siththan Arul”

This is why the narration of naming of the Holy Hills stopped with the Fifth. When it was asked in the Sathsang of Shri Ganesan in Bangalore where Agastya answered the generic questioins as to “When He will narrate the incidents of the other two hills”, He said: “When the right time comes, when the Lord permits, We ourselves shall say about it. Have patience till then.”

When He narrates them, we don’t know who will be blessed to receive them, then record them as per His orders, we won’t know who that blessed soul will be. But one wish is, the people of this world should get to hear them.

Let us wait for His orders and the right time.

Through the Grace of Siddha, this series grow and there were quite a few who helped as well with each of them taking part in one or another way. I thank them sincerely. I thank Shri Saravanan who drew all the beautiful images for Siththan Arul. I shall convey Agastya’s blessings to him as well. The current administrator and Saravanan had made a combined effort in the image for this series. Just as how Sri Rama Pattabisheka happens, they thought why not Venkatava has such a Rajya Darbar and drew this. I shall say that it has come out very well and let me bid farewell from you all, once for all. I shall bless you all shall be blessed by the Almighty and Guru Agastya! Vanakkam!

When I started to taste the Rama Katha through Agastya’s words, I could not bear anything without hearing it. Even He was mentioning about everything else but Sri Rama Katha in the coming days. I was expecting but the narration. One day I could not just bear it where I asked, “O Lord, why do you do this? The narration of Sri Rama Katha is paused as it is?”

“Hey! Human! Don’t I know when to narrate?! Why are you impatient? I will narrate everything. Have patience. The one who checks the time and date for everything, don’t you understand this yourself? Guruvar (Thursday) is the day when the grace of teacher falls. It is on this day where the teachers, Siddhas and Munivars provide all those great teachings for the welfare of those who surrenders to them. I am making you wait only for this. Sri Rama and Hanuman whom you regard as your Gurus, this story has to be narrated with them as a Sakshi, is my desire. You will realize many a miracles as you go. Hence, wait for the Guruvar!” – he said softly. I felt that it was a scolding however.

[now the readers may realize why the Grace of Siddha and its original translation is being published only on Thursdays, for the English series is scheduled to get published in the Brahma Muhurtha (4.30 to 6.00 AM), the Tamil series is very high in its quality where it was being typed and published only in the Brahma Muhurtha! It is also the Maha Muni’s orders that He will make the readers understand and realize subtle things within their minds.]

I thought to myself, my mind is that of the dog’s tail which never straightens, how many ever times I get such scoldings. I apologized for my mistakes to Agastya then and there.

“It’s alright. You are just impatient because you want to do your part for the welfare of this world and you are naturally interested in the story of Sri Rama, hence you got that question I know. When you narrate these incidents, make the title as ‘Sukam Tharum Sundara Kandam’ (the Sundara Kandam which bestows pleasure), He gave the title as well.

I waited for the Thursday.

On this day, after waking up early, doing my regular duties, I prayed to Vinayaka and Hanuman as usual, chanted Agastya Muni’s holy name and requested Him to narrate the Rama Katha. He came in the Nadi.

“For every man, the marriage is a turning point. Sometimes his life turns upside down. It happened just so in Rama’s life. The turning point where the Ramayana was made, was His marriage. The Almighty which wanted to show the world by action, accepted everything by being in the same mindset, which is what is referred to as the Siddha’s mindset. We Siddhas ourselves learned that even without any yogic practice, to accept everything in its own flow, without happiness and sorrow, one can live like a Siddha from Sri Rama Himself. We were even ashamed of ourselves, can you believe?” – He was all praise for Sri Rama.

When Agastya Muni explained how Rishi-Muni’s, Devas, Gandharvas, Narada, Deva Ganas, Siddhas, everyone around when Sri Rama got married to Sita Devi, I felt as if I myself was present there and was witnessing the whole thing. The mind was floating in a blissful ocean. Who will get such a blessing? I placed the Nadi in Sri Rama’s holy feet and did a Sashtanga Namaskar.

“O Sire! I have attained the purpose of taking this birth. Many many thanks.” I expressed my gratitude.

“You will witness many such things in this holy shrine of Sri Rama, you will feel, you will see. I will narrate them once they happen. Do you know one thing?! Sri Rama named this series as ‘Sukam Tharum Sundara Kandam’ only to make His beloved Hanuman’s glory to be praised. It is His title. The Almighty will make oneself realize for what It is intended to. This title is such, apt. Enjoy the meaning of this title at leisure.

[Gnanaboomi is humbled to change the title of this series thereby from now on].

I sat silent, immobile. No thoughts rose up.

He showed me that the fate started showing up in Dasharatha, Kaikeyi, Sri Rama, Kooni, Baratha, Lakshmana etc., only after the marriage of Sri Rama with Sita Devi. He narrated that the fate itself was witnessing how Sri Rama faces it with awe. Sri Rama took the fate by surprise by wearing the ornament of ‘patience’ in His mindset. He played by the rules of human kind by accepting the rule of nava grahas, He showed.

It is through fate that Sri Rama went exile, instead of having to rule, He played by the rules, wore deer-skin and went to jungle. When Agastya explained it, I felt the chillness experienced in the forests. One can understand how Agastya would have narrated from this very example.

“Such truthful explanations, if released in the form of book for the welfare of mankind, how great it will be?” – I began to think and He replied, “Question again? Have patience for you will realize when the right time comes.”

“Let me tell you another thing that’s happening. Agastya who witnessed Sri Rama’s life by staying close to Himself is narrating this. To hear this, one has to have done a great merit hence, all the Siddhas are here in this room and are listening to it with such a devotion. What else of a greatness do you seek my boy?!” – he said simply, such a great thing.

I was shocked for a second.

“Ok, let us continue in another muhurtha. This is enough for today.”

I requested, “Please ask all the Siddhas to stand up for a while.”

I got up and..

did a Sashtanga Namaskara to everyone and remained there for ten minutes when I felt someone is tapping my back. I placed the Nadi in Sri Rama’s holy feet and began to do the japa…

Once I heard that the Rama Katha will be narrated only on Thursdays, I became clear and quiet. Also, I was reminded of what I prayed to Vayu Puthra Hanuman some 20 years back. He had then said: “Agastya Himself will guide you!” That’s what is happening now. Though the entire Ramayana is narrated to me, I realized the almighty’s subtlety by knowing that only a portion of it will get published as Sukham Tharum Sundara Kandam. Just as the physician gives medicine to the specific ailment, the almighty gives away solution to one’s karmic effects.

I waited for the Maha Muni the next Thursday after duly preparing myself. He came:

“While in exile, Sita Devi was taking care of Sri Rama just as she would if they were in the palace. As His needs were very minimal, she was roaming around freely in the forest to get flowers and make garlands out of them, get fruits, put the flowers in Sri Rama’s feet and so on. Initially Rama sent Lakshmana along with Sita for protection but in due course, Sita was free to go around by herself. Sri Rama knew within that the fate is about to play its game and he played by its rule by letting her go alone, Agastya said. This caused an unknown pain within. The drama of fate with characters such as Surpanaka, Maricha and Ravana were witnessed by Sri Rama who was in the human form abiding by the rules of mankind. It is the fate which imprisoned Sita, the Maha Muni said.

It is the same fate that brought the Vayu Puthra, who was constantly thinking of Sri Rama to Him.

It is during this time that Hanuman began to realize the purpose of his birth. Pay attention my beloved son! The same fate at the same time plays good and bad. This can never by understood by humans.”

When Agastya muni explained how Rama and Lakshmana became tired and exhausted after searching for Sita, the way He explained the events, how Rama suffered gave a feeling of tiredness within me. I felt exhausted. My mind became normal only when the narration entered the phase where Sri Rama Lakshmana meets Hanuman. I myself felt a circle of protection within for some reasons. My heart felt joyful when I knew that Sundara Kandam begins with this phase of the narration.

“What? Is Hanuman’s power entering you and making you energized? We have been witnessing, not just for you, Hanuman’s name gives the feeling of protection to every living beings. Not many understand that the moment they think of Hanuman, all the problems which the mind doesn’t like gets wards off (please re-read this sentence to get the clear meaning of it). Hanuman likes Rama Nama. If one chants Rama Nama, Hanuman gives them protection without being asked for. Make this as the first note.” – I felt so pleased thinking that my dream is going to come true when the Maha Muni narrated this.

I picked up a note right then and prayed to Vinayaka, Hanuman and wrote ‘Sri Rama Jayam’ on top and was eagerly waiting for what the Maha Muni is going to say next. He said:

“Though the Rama Charitha from Kamban and Valmeeki has all the slokhas in two languages, make clear mention on the slokhas written by Valmeeki on what problem can be solved by reciting specific Sargas, very clearly. Those who believe this and chant those verses will definitely come over the problems. This is my words through the grace of Sri Rama and Sri Hanuman. This is the Almighty’s will too. Your job is to do just what is being told, understood?” – he gave a shocker as well.

I could not believe myself, I even pinched myself. Is it true what I am seeing and hearing? What a noble task this is that the Maha Muni has got me? Who will get such a blessing? Just this single thing is enough for me to sit straight under the feet of the Lord, I was thinking.

“Are you ready to take notes? Shall I begin?” – He asked. He never have spoken to me in this tone of a ‘Teacher’. I expressed my deepest gratitude to Him first, thanking him “Your servant here, is ready.”

[O devotees! So far the narration was around the way the Sukham Tharum Sundara Kandam story was formed, from this episode, through the grace of Almighty and Guru Agastya, the slokhas He mentioned by chanting which one can get rid of specific issues will be given. Pay attention to it’s subtlety, implement it and find peace in life.]

Guru Agastya began:

“Though Valmeeki gave Ramayana in 7 different Kanda, the Almighty gave importance to Sundara Kanda. Navagraha Dasha, those who suffer from the Disha Bukthi, to attain the holy feet of the Lord for those who suffer with such trouble, it is the Maha Punya path that almighty has shown. Though He is the one who lets the punishment for those, we Siddhas understood that He himself is keen to provide a way out for those who wants to transform and realize their mistakes. Those who follow this with a steadfast focus, surrenders to the Lord, salvation is for certain. What they think will happen.”

“Sundara Kanda was formed to praise Hanuman. In other Kanda, the Lord showed that even He takes an avatar as human, He has to undergo the cause and effect, the Karmic effect, that He requests his Dasa (though servant is a lame translation for this word, it more suits with admirer), to praise all the heroic deeds he performed by chanting which, showed the ways for the mankind to get rid of problems.”

“Sri Rama knew that Hanuman will be the one who will bring good news, in spite of so many others went for Sita’s search. Why? Hanuman’s admiration, to carry out everything after careful research, his very nature of being a diplomat, the attitude of seeking blessings from the elders etc., Even before Hanuman set forth to Lanka, he got the blessings from Surya, Vayu and Indra and the like.”

“Whenever a good deed is initiated, it is important to seek the blessings of elders, wise men, teachers and the Lord for without blessings, nothing moves. The effect of what mankind goes through is because they forgot this. Those who will understand this, those who follow this will be given at least a peace of mind in this very Kali Yuga by the Lord. He is always ready to protect His devotees. Therefore for those who are like the devotees, those who do the work of the Lord will be helped by the Lord Almighty Himself.”

“Those for whom the Shani period (7.5 years) has started, those who are affected by the Ashtama Shani, those who have Kethu in Shani Maha Dasha, those for whom Shani Bukthi is happening in their Kethu Dasha should recite the first Sarga of the Sundara Kanda slokha everyday which will ward off those difficulties. They will not have anything as a fear.”

“Though trying through straight forward method will get the results, whoever is affected by whichever graha, if they chant the 5th, 6th and 7th Sarga of Sundara Kanda everyday, all their wishes will come true. The marriages which has obstacles will happen. The separated families will unite. Those who are unemployed will get a job. These Sargas were written for this exact purpose, the wise say.”

“Though hope is life itself, those who read the first to ninth Sarga of Sundara Kanda everyday without fail will be relieved from the effects of Rahu, Kethu and Shani forever. This is a true possibility.”

When Agastya Maha Muni recommended Naga Pradishta for Naga Sarpa Dosha, Pithru Dosha, Brahma Hathi Dosha etc., I didn’t understand them then. Now I clearly understood that if one reads all the 9 Sargas, all these doshas will ward off.

I was taking notes without asking any questions. As it was early in the morning, I felt a slight breeze from the window. A pleasant fragrance, Thulasi’s smell appeared in the same room I was seated. As I was focussed so much in taking notes, I had failed to note the fragrance before. I paused writing and looked around.

“This is enough for today. Let us continue later. Blessings!” – said the Maha Muni.

I prostrated in the Sashtanga Namaskara manner. I placed the Nadi carefully at Sri Rama’s feet and looked at him carefully with folded hands for a minute, the Thulasi garland in Sri Rama’s neck got untied and fell on the Nadi. My mind felt the goose bumps as a pleasant feeling pervading my whole body. My eyes became teary.

“This is enough my Lord! Let your blessings ward off any difficulty to those who will read the book when it gets published and bring joy in their lives.” – I prayed and came out of the pooja room. The mind was chanting ‘Om Agatheesaya Namaha’ and I went to another room and sat in the chair with my eyes closed.

The next Thursday came as I was restless right from the morning. The incident of Thulasi garland falling on the Nadi from the neck of Sri Rama after I had placed it in His feet after that week’s composition was very green in my mind. As I saw it as a good omen, I considered it to be an honor to my Guru Agastya, as if Sri Rama Himself blessed Agastya’s narration. In this, a small portion of seva is done by me to Sri Rama which made me feel very blessed.

I prayed to Lord Ganesha and Hanuman, sat in the pooja room and prayed to Lord Agastya and opened the Nadi. Agastya’s words came out happily. I thought it is all Sri Rama’s blessings. He began:

“Through the grace of Almighty, my work is only to narrate what He has given me. Whatever happens around, after, all these should be considered as the Lord has decided to bless. This is the truth as well. He has blessed the mankind even in tiniest of things. But they don’t understand this because their expectation lies in the loukeeka (materialistic) things. The blessings that God gives stays with the person even when something good happens someday. But once it happens as per his Dharmic effects, the blessing stays away. In order to keep this constant and stable, the wise men always say, “Do good, think of God, always visit punya kshetras (holy places), always think of all other living beings as they have come to spend their karma just as you, and be kind to them etc.,” But man only thinks of himself and his surroundings which makes him get in to all such troubles. He becomes tired and eventually gives up his devotion and stoops down to the level of animals.

We cannot change one’s karma just be helping that someone for it is only possible for the God almighty. Then why help at all? By helping, one carries out the command of the Lord to help others thereby the person who receives the help can cross his karma with a breath of relief. If we see, one can understand that a ‘karma parivarthana’ is happening. The Siddhas and God knows that here Karma Paripalana also happens.”

I got a question at this stage within, we seem to deviate away from Sri Rama Katha!

Agastya replied to that too:

“Fair question. Still, if the right thing is narrated more than once, mankind may understand the subtlety and awake, our job will be completed even simpler. Hence I said all these. Let me get back to the narration.” – and resumed the Sri Rama Charita narration.

“Sri Rama believed the son of Anjana so much. Hanuman knew this too. He wished that Sri Rama’s hope should not be wasted and he acted after realizing his strengths. The way he carried out every work, all the work he did, the attributes of a messenger he displayed, his confidence, conviction that service to Sri Rama was his birth’s purpose, the dasatva towards Sri Rama, the japa he did, dhyana he did, all these when the rishi-munis were praising in mantra form, the almighty graced those mantras intentionally with his blessing and made it available even now, so when chanted can achieve tremendous blessings to the mankind, I clearly saw. There will be a reason behind every special event. Though Sundara Kanda praises the acts of Hanuman, what pervades throughout this Kanda is Sri Rama’s blessings making it the best of all Kandas in The Ramayana which bestows grace, blessings and effectiveness very much. If the mankind understands just this, they can turnaround their lives for betterment.

When they try something, they surely will face obstacles. They need to have the courage to go beyond them. Those who recite the 195 slokhas in the Sarga 10, 11, 12 and 13, Hanuman himself will grant that courage. All obstacles will be removed, it is a promise.

Rahu, Kethu, Shani and Guru when they take someone for a ride when they are in Ashtama, that someone will have to face inconveniences and losing the steadiness of mind and all that, let them be whoever. The youth who is trying to get a job, those ladies who suffer within thinking they haven’t got married yet, the household person who suffers due to shortage of money, everyone when reciting all the 14 Sargas, they will get the brightest future. Hanuman himself will grant them these. This is for certain.” – blessed Sri Agastya.

“If one recites the 14th Sarga everyday and surrenders his prayers to the almighty, His grace will make anything happen.”

“Those who face obstacles in anything they start as per their horoscope, those who suffer without the marriage happening or seemandham happening, those who suffer to find out those who are missing, those who suffer due to Ashtama Shani, those who suffer due to Rahu Kethu dosha, those whom Rahu Kethu bukthi happens in Shani Maha Dasha, those who suffer due to poverty or shortage of money, when they recite the slokhas in the 18th Sarga, all the obstacles and difficulties will vanish through the grace of Hanuman.”

“From 23rd till the 26th Sargas (4 in total), Valmeeki has explained the difficulties and the misery a woman faces in detail. Those who are thinking of divorce, those who are separated from their husbands, those who are being chased out by others, those ladies who has Shani, Rahu or Kethu in the 7th place of their Rashi, to get rid of Kalathra Ashtama Sthana misery, the 6th place to get weakened, if they recite these 4 Sarga’s along with the Sarga of Pattabisheka, the difficulties will disappear. Their marital life will be very good for those who are married.”

He blessed by completing that day’s class. I placed the Nadi and the notebook which I was using to take notes in the holy feet of Sri Rama and did a sashtanga namaskara. I then got up, sat down and meditated thus:

“Om Agatheesaya Namaha”

The next Thursday’s ‘class’ started rather earlier. Agastya gave a very different perspective:

“If someone thinks of an unpleasant situation that someone else went through in detail, he remains in that situation himself, suffers and makes those who already went through that suffering go through that again. But Kamban did not want Sita Devi to experience the unpleasant experience of staying in Ashoka Vana again. He therefore shrinks this part to just 8 slokhas. He could not just bear the thought of making Sita Devi feel unpleasant by going through tinsy details. He is a Maha Purusha, and His kavya is an example of his greatness. No one has written like this.” – a very different perspective indeed.

“How much ever trouble comes, as long as good people are around, the Lord sends someone to give a ray of hope. If one puts faith in such people’s words, understands and surrenders to the Lord, he can cross any type of cyclones in his life. For this, one needs to have tremendous amount of patience. Not having such a patience is what lets Kali to play his game wishfully in this Yuga. It also worsens the trouble. Only to make oneself surrender and let the Lord to take care of himself, we often say, “There is no better thing than one’s mind to be given to the Lord.”

“There are 8 slokhas in the 29th Sarga. They all say what a good omen is.”

“For the difference of opinion between couple disappear, for those who got separated to be united, to ward of all types of difficulties in a family, those who fight for their lives in the hospital, all these should recite the 30th Sarga 3 times a day in the morning, thinking of Lord Hanuman. All the problems would then disappear.

[[ Sarga 30 – 3 times in the morning – thinking of Lord Hanuman = wards of all difficulties ]]

Those who have Rahu Kethu bukthi in Chandra Maha Dasha, Rahu Maha Dasha in Chandra Bukthi, Surya Bukthi, Kethu dasha where Chandra, Sevvay or Surya Bukthi, the 30th Sarga will give a greater life.

“From the 31st till the 35th Sarga when recited everyday will ward of the difficulties below:

Those who wants their difficulties to be removed should read Hanuman’s Rama Charita every day. Those who are looking for jobs, those who lost hope in life, those who suffer in debt, those who are attempting suicide, if they read these Sargas continuously, the trouble vanishes just as snow does when sun rises.

Namostu vaachaspathaye swajariNe swayambuve
Chaiva sudhaasanaayacha|
Thaane shoktham yathitham maamakrodha vanao
Kasaa thachcha thathaasthu naanyathaa||

Those who recite this slokha everyday will get a lot of merits. This is an important slokha from the Sundara Kanda.

“Those who are suffering continuously, those who suffer out of danger, who are sick and suffering, those who have 7.5 Shani and Ashtama Shani, those who have Ashtama Guru, Ashtama Kethu, Rahu etc., those men and women who are unmarried should read the Sarga 35, 36, 37 and 38 will save them like anything, wards off evil! It bestows Soubhagya. This is a very very important portion of Soubhagya.

Those who really feel down at heart should read 39th Sarga’s 53 slokhas. It is a boon for such people.

Those who die everyday out of fear, those who do not realize their own strength, those whose horoscope has Guru, Kethu, Shani in their 8th house and the respective Maha Dasha or Bukthi or Anthara happening, those who are affected by ghosts, witchcraft, etc., to ward off all kinds of doshas, and to increase Santhosha, to ward off fear of prison and policemen, they should recite the 39th till 42st Sarga’s slokhas (all of them) within their minds. They are such powerful slokhas.”

– Agastya concluded the class for that day. I sat for meditation as well.

Waiting for the next Thursday made me tired as if I walked for a very long distance. The wise men say, whoever is thirsty of Rama Charitha, how much ever given wouldn’t be sufficient. I realized it is true. I even felt that Agastya Muni’s narration of Sri Rama Charita has reduced a lot. But I longed for something new this week, I prayed to Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman, prayed to Agastya Muni and sat in front of Sri Rama in Brahma Muhurtha.

As soon as He came, I got a scolding.

“Won’t I know when to say what, when not to say? Why this impatience? I understand you want to drink the nectar of Sri Rama Charita in one gulp. Alright, listen.”

“Kambanaattan (Kambar) expressed Sri Rama Charitha in very simple terms right, he said that it was Hanuman who began a practice which is followed even now. The humans when going to temple do pradakshina thrice clockwise and do sashtanga namaskara, it was started by Hanuman himself considering Sita Devi as Goddess. This method is followed even now. It is right indeed. What we see is the humans stand in front of the temple as if they are waving ‘Hi God, is everything alright?’ and going their way. The Lord out of His mercy grants it satisified even with that worship. Think of this, if the Lord is bestowing such a mercy even for those who just stand in front of the temple for a few seconds, imagine what they can receive if they surrender to the Lord Almighty completely. Hmm..it looks like the time hasn’t come for man to give his mind to the Lord yet.” – Agastya expressed these in the state of a father.

I sat quiet, this is a father’s mind set ensuring safety and security of the children, that they should not falll down and get hurt. He said, “Let us proceed with Rama Katha”

The speed in which He went appeared as if He wasn’t interested in detailing how Hanuman destroyed Lanka. Yes! He does not like destruction, ever.

“43rd till 46th Sarga along with the Pattabisheka Sarga when read and did Neivedhyam of Payasam, one can shine as that of Hanuman.”

“They take care of those who are affected by Rahu Kethu dosha, Ashtama Shani, Ashtama Guru, Kethu, those who are restless due to enemies, those who are losing continuously, those who wants to win in life, to achieve something, to subdue enemies, these Sargas will be of great help.”

“Those who are possessed by evil spiritis, those who are fearful at anything and everything, everyday, those whom run Rahu Kethu Bukthi in Chandra Dasha, those who have Kethu in Surya Dasha, Kethu and Chandra in Ashtama as Rashi, those who run their lives or business with crooked, cruel individuals, those who suffer in the day of Chandrashtama, if they read these four Sargas (47 to 50), Anjaneya will come and help them, He will give them life, they will be relieved of whatever great the misery is!”

“He single handedly destroyed a major portion of Lanka at that time. When His tail was set on fire, Sita Devi prayed to Lord Agni not to burn Him and Agni agreed. There is something that you humans should understand.

“When a pure soul, when it prays for others who are suffering, that prayer is granted at once!”

“Fear of thieves, fear of enemies, fear of crooks, fear of fire, whoever suffer because of these, those who are having difficulties, those who are experiencing punishment for the crime they did not commit, those with horoscope where Sevvay, Kethu combined in the Eighth place, Sixth place, those who have Sevvay Thasha as Ashtama Dasha, those who work in kitchen or work with chemicals, if they read the Sarga between 51 and 54 Sarga of Sundara Kanda, they won’t be affected for their life, they won’t be affected by fire, the fear gets wards off.”

“The Lord tests who are near by Him. He doesn’t bother about those who do not care about Him, the humans say. But it is not true. When falling from a bicycle, the effect is less. When falling from a little faster vehicle, the impact is a little more severe. But when fallen from heights, it is dangerous for the life. Just like so, those who do evil things, those who pretend like they are spiritual and mint money due to it, it means that they are going to fall from heights.

They don’t realize that the Almighty is making them rise higher and higher only to drop them from there, which is known only to the Siddhas, Wise men and Gnanis. Sundara Kanda shows how Ravana, who ruled all three worlds was destroyed by a normal lady, but a chaste wife called Sita. This important message the humans should realize.”

He concluded the class with that. I placed the Jeeva Nadi and the note book in the holy feet of Sri Rama and did a Namasakara, my heart was filled. The mind naturally sat down with the japa ‘Om Agatheesaya Namaha!’

The Rama Charita was growing in a pleasing manner narrated by Agastya. What to avoid, what to follow, what to point when teaching something was all done by the Maha Muni like a talented teacher guiding his student made me feel goose bumps. Even before I ask about something which I am not aware of, He gives the explanation right away. Such a wonderful teacher He is!

I did the regular niyama on Thursday and prayed to Agastya that Thursday. He said:

“A human life is made out of various thoughts, external pressure due to circumstances. Until and unless they know the knack of it, it is difficult for him to cross it. When we say ‘limitless almighty’ about God, what is that feeling, what it is, to know, one has to become ‘that’ itself. Even we cannot explain how it is. It has to be decided by the God Almighty only. We want everyone to reach ‘that’ state and hence we say ‘do good that earns Punya, do Dharma, be detached, remain with the thought that everything is but His deed’ etc., How much ever great one may be, how much ever strong one may be, before doing something if they don’t think of ‘what will happen to others’ even for a second, they will have to suffer just like how Hanuman did within His mind after he lit up Lanka on fire. This is what I want to convey to my children.”

…He said this as a generic advise and proceeded to Sundara Kanda narration.

“Those who lost their exams, their position, those who suffer out of their karmic fate, those with ashtama Guru and Shani, those with Rahu Kethu Bukthi happening in Shani Dasha, those with Rahu, Kethu, Shani Bukthi in Surya Dasha, those who are so exhausted and thinking of ending their lives, those merchants who know nothing but failure, business owners, all these should recite the Sarga 55 to 57 every day, thrice without fail. Doing so will get all their troubles, fear and desperation. This is a truth indeed.”

As I was paying very close attention to what He said, I was surprised. The almighty has kept the solution to all possible problems the humans may encounter in one slokha (or Kavya) and blessed it with His grace. What else blessing can the human get?

A reply came to my thoughts. “Yes, we said it is indeed the Lord’s will. Those who read any slokha of Sundara Kanda for any good purpose, He can become that Lord Almighty himself for that moment, he can feel it himself.” – he explained the subtlety of it.

“Further, if he realizes this once, there wouldn’t be anything that he has to realize in this earth. This is true. His mind would’nt want anything else.”

“Those who recite the 58th and 59th Sarga will get all their Papa ward off. The fear of enemy will disappear. The grace of God will be felt closer. The obstacles will vanish one by one. Shani Dosha will go away. The bad effects, disease caused by Rahu or Kethu will be gone. Deeds done on evil intention (witchcraft) will lose its strength. Dharidhrya will not enter. The auspicious things that were blocked will resume. The defeat will turn in to a victory. Those who got separated will unite.” – said the Maha Siddha.

“Those who are having difficulty in taking important decisions in life, those who want to go in the path of righteousness, to act without crooked obstacles, they should read the Sargas 60 and 61 and daringly enter. Everything will happen for their happiness. Those who have Surya along with Kethu in their horoscopes, or those who were born when Chandra was with Rahu, those who are in positions that call for taking important decisions, or responsible for announcing such decisions in their workplace, Kethu bukthi in Chandra Dasha or Rahu Bukthi in Surya Dasha should recite the above Sargas which will get them out of obstacles and gives them encouragement, guides them in the right path and bestows peace and happiness in their minds.”

He paused the class for the day with this. I sat for meditation.

I began to do the practice of daily Parayanam (recitation) after praying to Ganesha and Hanuman everyday, while waiting for the next Thursday’s narration. It grew through the grace of Agastya Muni. I could sense that whatever I undertake, there was an excitement, an urge in carrying them out and the tasks were successful through His grace. Through someone, if for this world a merit can be done for other beings, if above all the God’s grace is readily available, all I wanted is to pray for that grace. I felt it is ‘God’s grace’ that the current mentality is called.

Happiness is a natural state, but it does not stay for long days or time. It takes time for one to realize that God has kept this as a testing device. One does not realize how much balance he will lose if he feels so much of happiness, but others will. In fact, mistakes committed when someone is in a normal state or even feeling sad is nothing compared to the mistakes done when someone is extremely happy. Therefore, it is important to have the balanced state of mind. This truth is taught in the 62nd and 63rd Sarga of Sundara Kandam.

Defeat will not go near those who read these two Sargas. They won’t fear anything. Obstacles will disappear. In addition, those whose horoscope has Rahu, Kethu and Guru on the 8th house, those who suffer due to Ashtama Shani, Ashtama Rahu will be relieved of their difficulties. Those who are admitted in the hospital will be relieved of the fear of death. The surgeries related to heart and brain will succeed. Those who suffer because of thieves, fire, natural calamities will be relieved too.

Those who recite the 64th Sarga – those whose Maha Bukthi or Dasha happening with Rahu, Kethu, Sevvay, Shani or Surya in their Kalathra Sthana will be benefitted with all their difficulties removed and their marital life will blossom. Those who do not have happiness in marital life, those who think of getting separated, those couple who are separated because of business or work, those who fear if their love life will come to an end, they can recite this Sarga thrice everyday. All their problems will be taken care of. The marriage that seemed like an impossibility will happen, the separated one will be reunited, The Sevvay and Kalathra dosha will disappear. They will experience bliss in their marital life.

Those who worry for small things, those with 7 1/2 Shani, Ashtama Shani, Arthashtama Shani in their horoscopes, those horoscopes with Chandra and Kethu, those with Chandra Bukthi in Kethu Dasha, those who suffer due to Chandrashtama every month, the husbands who are separated from their wives, those who are desperate to get divorced, those who worry because there isn’t a good news from the far away land, those who have obstacles in having a cordial relationship, those with Kalathra dosha, Sevvai Dosha, should read the 64th and 36th Sarga continuously everyday. All the obstacles will disappear if they do so.

Those who have lost any hopes in life, those who suffer from 7 1/2 Shani, Ashtama Shani, Arthashtama Shani, Viraya Shani, Jenma Shani, Paadha Shani, Suya Bukthi in Shani Maha Dasha, Surya Bukthi, Kethu Bukthi, Chandra Bukthi, Rahu Bukthi, Kethu Bukthi in Chandra Dasha, Kethu Antharam, Rahu Bukthi, Rahu Antharam, Shani Bukthi, those with horoscopes where Sevvay is with Kethu in 6th house, those with Kalathra Sevvay Dosha should read the Sargas 66, 67 everyday, thrice in the morning. Their difficulties will change miraculously then. Their very fate will change.

The Maha Muni paused the narration for that day.

I placed the Nadi in Sri Rama’s holy feet and sat down for meditation.

“People of this world will not reform. Do not worry about them. Focus on what you must do.” – said the other Siddhas. But Bhoga did not listen. The people should not perish, they should live here forever. His thirst increased.

“Bhoga! You are going against the divine will. This is not good. Learn everything except the Sanjeevani which brings back the dead. That’s what is good for you.” – said the Siddhas but Bhoga did not listen. I will do whatever it takes and learn this Mantra or will get it through the God’s grace. His ancestors are from Tamil Nadu but they had migrated to China long back. His parents were doing a laundry business there.

He was named as Bo – Yong. Another theory states that Bhoga was born in Tamil Nadu itself and His parents migrated to China only after His birth, and He transmuted himself in to the body of Bo-Yong. As these happend thousands of years back, we don’t have the authenticity of such information. The book ‘Agasthiyar Panirendayiram’ (Agasthiyar 12 thousand) has a song that goes ‘The Bhoga who is greatest of the Siddhas is from the heavy land of China’. He stayed in China and came back to Tamil Nadu after His parents’ demise. He wanted to have the darshan of Siddhas staying in Mount Meru and Himalayas. His main mission was to share the rare herbs hidden in the treasures of mountains all across India and to prevent any disease from attacking the public.

He taught the Munivars and Siddhas in Himalayas on how to make gold. He did so because these men do not get attached to material things and will spend this on the welfare of others. While He stayed in Himalayas, many a students came to visit Bhoga and became His disciples. There were 63 of them including Pulipani, Karuvurar, Sattai Muni, Idaikadar etc., Bhoga disliked the one quality in humans, of not sharing one’s knowledge to others. He arranged for all 63 of His disciples to know everything He knew and to spread them all across the country. He had taught them on how to fly in the sky, to float in the water, the Kayakalpa medicine that helps the body to remain intact and healthy for a very long time.

He tested them too and the students cleared them as well. They then went to the lengths and breadths of the country and tried teaching the public what they learnt. The ignorant masses but didn’t pay heed to such knowledge. Bhoga felt sad but did not give up. He thought that by teaching them about Sanjeevani, they could be made interested in learning the other Siddhis. When He expressed His desires to the other Siddhas, they said what’s been given in the beginning of this post. Bhoga was restless after the Siddhas refused to teach Him the Sanjeevani. He cried profusely that He will give up His life if he will not be taught this skill. The other Siddhas consoled him stating, “if we decide to give up our lives just because what we desired did not happen, there won’t be anyone left in the world. Not everything we want happens. Death is something that the almighty has decided to happen for all humans at a certain time. It is not good to cross this decision. You may incur the wrath of the Lord if you do so. Change your thought to commit suicide. You are a learnt physician who knows everything including Kayakalpa. Why don’t you teach the humans about these and make them live a healthy life? Forget about living forever and teaching it to everyone. The Gnani does not dwell in what is impossible.”

Bhoga left for Mount Meru half-hearted. There He found Kalangi Siddha’s samadhi. When He offered His respects to it, many Siddhas appeared before Him saying, “O Bhoga! We are the disciples of Kalangi Siddhar. Souls like Rama, Pandavas, Dridhrashtra, Harishchandra, Ravana came here and tested what we have learnt. We are staying here since long. What do you want?”

Bhoga mentioned to them that He wanted to learn the Sanjeevani art where no one will ever die, with great respect and humbleness. They pointed him to a place where there were countless rare gems were found. They pointed him to another place where there were lots of gold. His heart felt happy, He thought about the common people even at that time. An ordinary person would greedily take away all he could and try to earn the title of ‘world’s richest’. But Bhoga requested the other Siddhas thus:
“O Siddhas! These are lying here as waste. It looks like there will be more left even if we give away these to all the people in the world. They will live happily with these, why is it getting wasted here?”

The Siddhas gave a grief-filled laughter. “Bhoga! Why are you worrying about the humans? They don’t respect people like us who think of spirituality, neither they search for the grace of Lord. Here you are worrying about such ungrateful humans to get benefitted with these materials here. They don’t deserve to get them.” – and they disappeared that instance. Bhoga felt sad thinking “I was thinking of getting all these wealth to the humans and forgot about the greatest of the wealth – health and to make them live forever. This wealth changes one’s mind like anything. It makes us forget our duties.”

At that time a light appeared and came through Bhoga, it’s light was blindfolding. He covered his eyes with his hands and looked in between in the direction of the light. It came from an ant-hill which was almost the height of a full grown man. He walked towards the ant-hill. He heard breathing from that ant hill. Bhoga sensed that the breathing is not that of a snake but of a human who is perfected. He realized that this person must be a great Tapasvi and that He could learn the art of Sanjeevani from Him. So He sat down in meditating about this person right there deciding that He will wait. The heat of this meditation touched the Tapasvi inside the anthill where He came out. He was a person who knows everything past, present and future. He woke Bhoga up saying ‘O Bhoga!’

Bhoga was surprised, “Swami, how do you know my name?” for which the Tapasvi said it is not difficult for Siddhas to know each others. Bhoga wanted to know how long he was doing this penance for the Tapasvi asked which yuga it was. Bhoga replied, “Kali Yuga”. The Tapasvi exclaimed on how fast the time runs, I have been meditating since beginning of Dhvapara Yuga and a full yuga is gone. Bhoga, I know your wish as well. First, eat the fruit of that tree there and quench your hunger. As soon as Bhoga ate the fruit, he felt very light as if he was floating and he sat down as it is. The Tapasvi handed over a doll to Bhoga saying, “this doll will answer all your questions.” – and went in to the anthill again. Bhoga asked the doll on how to live without getting defeated by death. The doll spoke everything about the birth till death but said that it cannot share the knowledge of living forever in spite of it knowing it due to the law of creation and disappeared. Bhoga felt depressed but he did not give up. Bhoga climbed up the Mount Meru one day where he saw rocks of gold, due to the rare herbs being used by the rishi-munis. He could not withstand the brightness and was about to fall down. The rishi-munis held him.

“Bhoga, we are living here for four yugas. We appreciate your sincerity and perseverance in making the humans live. The Sanjeevani is here in a cave. We shall show you and also teach you the mantra. Bhoga’s joy knew no bounds. They entered a particular cave which contained this herb which was not touched by dust, shining due to the radiance of making one live forever and bring back the dead. The rishi-munis explained the usage of Sanjeevani to Bhoga in detail. Bhoga became the personification of gratitude. He prostrated at the feet of these holy men thanking them profusely for their help and bid farewell. His joy did not find any limit where he jumped and danced out causing the place to tremble. Many a Siddhas appeared before Bhoga and addressed him thus: “Bhoga, it is during happiness that one should remain calm. You have disturbed our penance with your dancing and shouting. Our penance which happened for many yugas has become useless for which we will curse you. We curse you that you will forget the usage of this Sanjeevani for which you spent all your life’s effort, just as we are standing helpless with all our penance going for nothing.” Bhoga was devastated.

“O Siddhas! What have I done? I did a great mistake. Please don’t! Please don’t! You have the responsibility of sustaining this world too right? Please do not punish the people for whatever happened between us here. Please forgive me, please forgive me!” – but there were no one to listen to his cries for the Siddhas had disappeared. Bhoga was broken apart for he kept lamenting about his mistakes and fell unconscious. This drama was orchestrated by the almighty to show that the world is governed by Him and there is a reason for everything. But why did He then create Sanjeevani, a question may rise. The answer is known only to Him.

A bird flew near Bhoga and went in to the cave. This bird is Anda Bagiranda Bird. It plucked a leaf from a herb and made Bhoga inhale its fragrance. Bhoga woke up. It said, “Bhoga! Do not worry about what happened. There are countless Siddhas doing penance here and your movement may wake them up. It is enough of what you have learnt all the while. Help the people life healthy with this knowledge. Do not make another mistake of waking the other Siddhas up and end up lose whatever remaining you know. The person who is contended is the wise one.” Bhoga flew back to Podhigai hills and sat for meditation. Goddess Parvathi appeared in his meditation and said, “Bhoga, grieve not. It is my task to create and destroy the world. Go to Pazhani hills and worship my son Muruga!” and disappeared. Bhoga reached Pazhani and found Lord Subramanya in the form of Dhandayutha Pani wearing just the loin cloth. He instructed Bhoga to make the Nava-Bashana idol of himself and instructed Him on the ways He should be worshipped there in detail.” Bhoga felt very happy and did what the Lord mentioned, and was doing regular Pooja and Abisheka. Those who got those prasada lived a healthy and long life. This is why a lot of people visit Pazhani
Malai.

Bhoga then reached Thiruchengodu near Namakkal. It is said that he made the ArdhaNareeshwara idol in Nava Bashana there as well. He flew to China frequently as well. Pulipani Siddha went to China and brought Him back. He had many disciples such as Konkana Siddha, Idaikadar, Kamala Muni, Machcha Muni, Nandeesar etc., He came back from China and stayed in Pazhani, eventually attained Samadhi here in Pazhani.

Om Lopamudra Sametha Agatheesaya Namaha!

We have reached the final episode of the experiences with Sundara Kanda narration. Let us pray to Lord Agatheeshwara and enter His words. Agatheeshwara clarified many a things clearly that can be made easy by the humans. I expected eagerly, what is He going to say new today? I sat in Lord Rama’s shrine on that Thursday morning. The Maha Muni said:

“A man can plan anything according to his needs. But only through the grace of God does the plan succeed. In most cases, what happens is just opposite to what was planned for many and when that happens, they wonder why, we had planned it properly and get confused. But in reality, it is the God almighty who diverted it. That too is because He knows this diversion is for this human’s good only. But the human does not understand this, but they criticize the rishis, Siddhas, his time and even the Lord. That is why the Lord orders us to keep a lot of things hidden as ‘deva rahasya’. The loss is not for the Lord you see. It is for the human who is supposed to rise up.”

These words did not sound like just words to me. Something has happened. Is it that the Lord has taken back the approval of narrating the Rama Katha? I realized that it is true indeed by what He said next.

“Though we began as Rama Katha, the Lord ordered to stick with Sundara Kandam. Once it was done, the Lord ordered, “O Agastya, whatever should reach the humans have reached. Let’s finish it here.”

“Hence, let me narrate an incident and then let me tell you something good, who helped the message of the Lord to be passed on to the humans at the end.”

“As per the horoscope, those who are suffering because of the grahas like Kethu, Shani, Rahu, Sevvaay, Surya in their Kudumpa Sthana, Sukha Sthana, Kalathra Sthana, Ayul Sthana etc., those whose marriage is getting delayed, even those who are married but are not able to experience the happiness the married life gives, those who have difference of opinion between spouses and suffer due to this, sevvaay dosha, kaala sarpa dosha, kalathra dosha, those who suffer through the doshas which follow them generation after generation, those who suffer due to ashtama Shani, ashtama Guru, those who long for their love life not getting successful, those who are not having the blessings of bearing children, those who suffer so much due to the wickedness of their enemies, all these to get rid of their problems, they should recite all the 68 Sarga with a lot of faith everyday is the greatest Parikara.” – and He paused the Rama Katha with Sundara Kanda.

I remained silent waiting for Him to say something Himself. I threw away any question that came in my mind. He spoke Himself after a while.

“Let us complete the Rama Katha at a different time, in the future. Be patience till then. So far the Agastya’s kavya has come out well. Our blessings!” – when He blessed, He did so with Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana and Anjaneya being present. Recall how you looked up when taking notes, after experiencing a cool breeze, subtle aroma of Sri Thulasi and Sampangi, that’s when they left this place. Every week when you take notes, Sri Rama Himself was seated in the place you’ve kept His idol with the others seated closeby when We were narrating. When this narration gets published in a book form, whoever gets them and recites all the Sargas with devotion, they will have an armour around them. The house in which it is kept will be wealthy in all aspects. No harm will come near them. Frequent surprising things will happen.” – He blessed and concluded.

I realized that I have taken notes all these days at the holy feet of Sri Rama without realizing anything. If one has to learn, they must learn under such a guru. Every Siddha will come. To realize is our Karma Vidhi.

Those who want to read all the Sarga of Sundara Kanda (typed in Tamil with sounds in Deva Nagri), please click below and select ‘Sundara Kandam’. It is so very simple.

Thus concludes Maha Guru Agastya’s Sukham Tharum Sundara Kandam series.

We thank the Maha Guru for allowing us to publish in the Siththan Arul blog and pray to Him that all His devotees may live a happy and blessed life.

Om Lopamudra Sametha Agatheesaya Namaha!

This article is from the Tamil original seen at https://siththanarul.blogspot.com.au/2017/04/643.html

Even the devotees who live by the words of Agastya Muni will be tested. As He says, every test should be looked upon as an experience, here is a compilation of one such experience. They started everything, tested and granted their blessings as the reward for patience. If the Lord himself partakes in the game of Siddhas, what else does one need, we may think.

One of my relatives fell sick. The doctors recommended surgery as the only way out. While getting confused on what to decide, I thought we should ask the Kotakanallur Pachchai Vanna Perumal himself, as I frequent his temple for darshan. I sat in my pooja room and meditated, where a word came “Come here! I shall give the medicine.” As there was a holiday on the last day of the week, I got three days off. Let’s go, I decided. Eventually, couple of my friends (Shri Sathish and Shri Shridharan) called me up and mentioned about their visit to Podhigai Hills to have darshan of Lord Agastya and they are planning to visit Kotakanallur enroute.

I said I will meet them in Kotakanallur on Saturday and thought let us give whatever we could to Podhigai Hills for Agastya’s abisheka and encourage them on their visit. I collected the abisheka items (Vibuthi, sandalwood powder, javvadhu and other fragrances. I took permission on Wednesday afternoon and proceeded to Tirunelveli. The items were a bit heavy. I was doubtful if my friend will ask me to reduce the items due to their weight. I thought he may say, “it is very difficult to even carry my own weight, this is very heavy. Can you please reduce the items?” Will the Lord Pachchai Vanna Perumal ask for this sandalwood powder? I thought. But nevertheless, I collected everything and kept them.

I reached Kotakanallur on Thursday morning. I stood in front of the Lord and prayed, “Here I am as you asked me to come. Hereafter it is your grace. Please bless.” The priest gave the prasad and went inside again as if he remembered something. He had a ball kind of thing in yellow. He said:

“Take this, I took this when I did the Thirumanjanam for Perumal today. Who will come for this, I thought and I heard – ‘someone will come in 2.5 nazhigai, give this to him.”

I received it with all due respect and took it to both my eyes as if worshipping. I smelled the purest of Virali Turmeric. I thought this must have been the medicine and I kept it safe. I told the priest that I am going to Srivilliputhur tomorrow and will meet him that Saturday. “Please get my friends a good darshan, I will come here before 10 in the morning.”

I then proceeded towards Sri Villiputhur. I met one of my friends who took me to several other friends. After meeting all, we returned to my friends house and while seating, a person said: “Here, bring your hands. Take this, and ask to eat this as well”. and put a small piece in my hand.

“What is this?”

“This is the Chandan that adorned the chest of Lord Balaji in Tirupathi. You know Goddess Mahalakshmi is in His heart. This is a rare medicine by itself.” and additionally, “Here, this is the Perumal Theertham.” and gave a bottle. The smell of Pachchai Karpooram (green camphor) was intense. I felt, “Only for these the Lord has asked me to travel all along. There will definitely be a cure.” and kept them safe. Then I went back to Kotakanallur on Saturday and met those two friends whom I had promised to meet.

“Very good darshan, the Lord blessed us. Come along, let us go again and have darshan.”

“I have some items for Agastya Muni’s abisheka. Let us see them and then get in.” – I began to keep them out.

My friend said: “It is very heavy. It is difficult even to carry my own weight. Can you please reduce the items?

Further, he glanced the items kept out and said, “Please keep the sandalwood paste out. Let the Vibhuthi be in.”

I looked towards the shrine and thought: “Can’t you say straight if you want the Sandalwood paste? Should you make me embarrased and get them? Plus, O Agastya Muni, please forgive me. The Lord is asking for the sandalwood paste which I had collected for you. Please accept the rest of the items and bless everyone.”

We had a wonderful darshan, did pradakshina and spoke about Podhigai to my friends and placed a request.

“After the abisheka, please get a little of Abisheka Oil and Vibuthi as prasad. You can send it after you reach Chennai, its enough.”

It will take around 4 to 5 days for them to reach back Chennai after the abisheka, climbing down etc., “I thought it is ok if it takes the time. Agastya hardly runs any courier service for this to reach the next instance, one has to wait for everything.” I thought and bid farewell to my friends. I met the priest and gave him the sandalwood paste to be used for the Sunday’s abisheka.

I prayed towards the direction of Podhigai hills, “O Guru, your children are coming to you with abisheka, pooja. Please accept their prayers.” I went back to the temple next morning (Sunday) and found that the abisheka had been over. There was a screen in front of the shrine.

The priest welcomed me saying: “Welcome, just move the screen lightly and see inside. The Lord seems very happy today. I did the abisheka with the sandalwood paste you gave. There is a good amount of paste still sticking in His idol, see.”

“That’s great. Where did I come? It was Him who brought me here. He did all this drama and got the paste which I had collected for Agastya Muni.” – I said. The priest gave the prasad, a sandalwood paste ball and turmeric. I received it with utmost devotion and kept thinking about the happenings and came back to my place, met my relative and asked him to eat all the medicines the Lord had given.

The operation was scheduled for Tuesday, he got admitted the previous Sunday. He took the medicines before Monday evening. The operation happened successfully and the relative crossed the danger. The abisheka in Podhigai happened on Monday as well, so special. Whatever happened thereafter took me to a great surprise.

Om Lopamudra Sametha Agatheesaya Namaha!

This article is from the Tamil original seen at https://siththanarul.blogspot.com.au/2017/04/646-2.html

When what the mind thought happens as it is, the mind becomes happy. If the result happens otherwise but still favourable, the mind ‘accepts’ it. When it goes completely opposite, the mind becomes troublesome, feels sad. As far as me, whatever happened so far itself is a great blessing and I was at peace without expecting anything more. As Lord Narayana organizes everything, no one can enter.

I was affirmative that the Podhigai pooja prasad will reach only after 15 days but surprisingly, a friend who came down on Tuesday itself mentioned: “One of your former colleagues was in my group. He introduced himself where I asked if he knows you. He said he knows you very well and gladly accepted my request to hand over the prasad to you saying that his house is right behind your office. He gave that colleague’s number as well. I was surprised and recalled my sarcasm “Agastya hardly runs any courier service for this to reach the next instance, it will reach at the right time.”

“Who are you to make sarcasistic comments? See how fast I am” – as if He said so. As I stepped out of the office at 5 PM, the colleague stood there. A bag with the prasad, he smiled at me saying, “he asked to give it to you” and bid farewell. A aromatic sandalwood, vibuthi, turmeric, I opened the bag to see the items used for Agastya’a Abisheka. I stood still without knowing what to say. I realized that we are being watched, they do accept our offerings when given heartily. I did not get the oil used for abisheka but the vibuthi (holy ash) made that thought disappear (that vibuthi is still hanging in a bag at home, in the right hand of Odhiyappar’s vigraha). I kept the prasad safely.

In Sabarai Mala, when they close the sanctum sanctorum after a long time, they decorate Lord Ayyappa as a Siddha, apply vibuthi all over and put a screen before closing the door. When the door opens again, they take that vibuthi and distribute it to the devotees as prasad. One of our colleagues was placed in our Sabari Mala branch office. When he was about to go there, he asked me if I would like the Aravanai and Appam and that he could get it only after the Mandala period gets over. I had asked him if I can get the vibuthi that covered Lord Ayyappa. He agreed and by Wednesday, he gave a box full of that vibuthi (even this vibuthi is in front of Odhiyappar, till date).

The next day was Thursday. I had been to the temple in the evening for darshan. It was rather quiet with me and Pujari (of course the almighty too). I had darshan one after the other (at first Agastya, Lopamudra, then Vinayaka behind Agastya Muni, then Nagar, Krishna and then Odhiyappar). When I stood before Odhiyappar, He looked very different with vibuthi smeared all across his chest, head, his dhoti, his feet, everywhere. I asked him within, “What’s special for you O Lord today?” He appeared to be smiling where I looked closely and was reminded of the Vibhthi courier incidents happening for the past three days.

“O Odhiyappa! Can you give me the vibuthi either in your head, chest or in your dhoti which is fresh after a wash with kanji. I shall ask the Pujari once. Please arrange.” – I requested the Pujari who took a banana leaf, went to Odhiyappa and took the vibuthi from the head, chest and the dhoti and went in side the shrine of Agastya Muni. I was very surprised indeed, thanked Odhiyappar and went in to the shrine of Agastya and said within, “Don’t know what’s happening today to Odhiyappa, your guru has given me the Vibuthi. Please have an eye on Him.” I did namaskaram and came out.

I met my friend en route where I mentioned about the vibuthi incidents and said, “looks like this is a Vibuthi week, maybe there’s a real good beating awaits, must remain alert.” and came home. But when I thought about the whole thing, I felt like they are purposefully delivering the vibuthi to be handed over to that relative. Who will go there now, I am not sure but let me put this request to Agastya Himself, I thought. I prayed Him to show me a way. At around 8 PM when I came down to have dinner after my Mother called me, I saw one of my relatives sitting down. I welcomed him inquiring how everything is, as we had just met last Sunday.

“That person who got the surgery last week is recovering well and I thought I will visit him. I may not have come here. But I thought somehow I should come here to see you all and then go my way. So I came here without getting on to the next train.”

I smiled within and asked when he is going to meet our relative. He said he is planning to start the next morning. I mentioned: “Fair enough, I shall give some prasad. Please hand it over to him and ask him to consume it.”

“For sure! Please give it to me right away. I may forget if its tomorrow.” I spontaneously prayed & thanked within, “You have made a real swift arrangement. Thank you very much.” – I went to the pooja room and gave him the parcel which contained all three vibuthi’s. It reached him the very next day.

Friday – The theertha and chandan from Tirupathi Balaji
Sunday – The turmeric powder from Kodakanallur Perumal
Tuesday – The abisheka vibuthi from the saint of Podhigai hills
Wednesday – The abisheka vibuthi from Sabarimalai Sastha
Thursday – The abisheka vibuthi from Odhiyappar

As Perumal began to give the medicine, looks like every other form of almighty wants to give their share. I didn’t understand anything but felt overwhelmed with gratitude. After all these, something miraculous happened next week which I shall explain in the next post.

Om Lopamudra Sametha Agatheesaya Namaha!

This article is from the Tamil original seen at https://siththanarul.blogspot.com.au/2017/07/713-3.html

When we pray to Siddhas or Almighty and go in the path they show us, we will meet many surprises. Events may seem like there is a karmic connection somewhere even if they don’t appear as we wanted. Wherever I go, its a habit to pray to the Siddhas and the Almighty that “Let your presence be there guiding me, protecting me.” The events of the prasad distribution for the week as I had prayed to them, I felt I should visit Kotakanallur to have darshan of Perumal in the two days holidays I got. I put forth my request in my usual meditation session in the pooja room that evening after taking bath.

It is hard to believe, the answer came very fast, “Do not have to go anywhere. Just be seated here!”

I was surprised, “What an order, (He) never has said this before. Let us just do what they said. Let us not go anywhere.”

One of my friend came and asked if I wanted to accompany a trip to Podhigai hills to do abisheka to Guru Agastya during these two days off. I said:

“Please forgive me. I have been given different orders. They asked me to stay at home without going anywhere. I shall get some items for the pooja. Please take them and kindly bring me prasad. That’s enough. I cannot cross their orders. Let us see another time.”

These friends are known to my Father as well. I had prayed to the Siddhas only this, all these years:

“I should stay with my parents will their last breath. I should perform all the duties with Your grace. I should not leave out any duty missed out for my parents.”

My friends set forth to Podhigai that Thursday. That Friday night around 11, adiyen’s Father’s soul reached the almighty.

Had I gone to Podhigai, my entire family would have been in great distress. All the rituals would have happened only after two days as when someone is at Podhigai, there isn’t a way to contact them. The last rites were performed where my friends could come only that Sunday. They could not see my Father’s face or take part in the rituals.

“There! That’s the reason why I was ordered so. There is Karma. I had to stay. You didn’t have to see your friend or take part in his last rites. He got down in his stop. Let us continue our journey.” – the friends bid farewell. In the tenth day of the karma while seated quietly, a thought came:

“As Agastya mentioned in the Jeeva Nadi, a Moksha Deepa should be lit for Father. Let that soul attain salvation due to the almighty’s grace.”

I requested a person who had come for the 10th day’s ritual to get me the approval to put Moksha Deepa on the Kotakanallur Perumal’s temple. He asked what a Moksha Deepam is.

“It is a ritual. In the Isanya corner of a temple during Saturdays, a light should be lit around 6. The next day morning, all the items used in the ritual should be left in the river. I shall take care of the arrangements, please get me the approval.” – He agreed.

I didn’t say about this to anyone but only to a friend, “We may have to go to a certain place sooner. Be ready.”

Then after the 13th day’s Karma was over, when sitting down for Meditation and Japa, I placed a request to Agastya Muni to give His grace and approval for the Moksha Deepa to be lit. I did not mention this to anyone as I was convinced that whatever plans one make, it is the Almighty who carries out the way it should be. So I had decided to get on in full swing once I get the approval.

For two days, there wasn’t any reply and I began to worry if Agastya doesn’t want the Moksha Deepa to be lit? The Saturday I had planned to lit the Deepa is just 4 days away. I had to procure all the items.

I cried out loud in my mind, “O Sirs! What is this, can’t there be an approval or answer?” – I was stressed out as the day came closer. I guess they heard that loud cry. As I waited for an answer, Agastya sent out a detailed answer through a living person, who is an ardent disciple of Guru Agastya.

Pranaam devotees of Agastya!

Sri Gurunatha Agastya has given another opportunity to present a series of the grace of Siddhas’ for which my namaskaram to Sri Lopa Mudra Sametha Agatheeshwara.

Recently, I got an opportunity to talk to a few Vasi Yogi’s who are specialized in the Siddha Marga. They have clear cut answers for all the happenings of the human life. I submitted all the questions I had in mind through Agastya’s words of wisdom and was surprised at the way they received those questions and answered them. It was as if they taught me in the place of a teacher. As the conversation went by, I realized that whatever I thought I know is nothing from the way they explained things in a simple manner. So I crafted my questions carefully and noted down the answers and guidances carefully, which I will present in the coming weeks.

Today’s title is Prayer.

My question: O Sire, Lord Agastya has mentioned that there is nothing which is greater than, grander than Prayer. Can you please explain this in detail?

The answers they gave is compiled below.

– The Lord Almighty gave a blessing to the mankind to purify himself, purify his karma. That blessing is Prayer.
– It can be classified in to two. 1. Prayer for self and 2. Prayer for others.
– In this Kali Yuga, 95% people do the first kind. Only 5% understand what the Siddhas said and follow the second type.
– When such a shortage is present, how can the world we rectified, sanctified?
– The reason for all the bad things happening in this world is man’s greed. But that will be taken care of by the Lord Himself.

How should this prayer be?

– It should be natural, just as a child asks the sweet from its father, the child knows it has the rights
– It should be without attachment. Even if the prayer is for one’s relatives, the thought approach should be ‘These are all your children, they have taken birth as friends and relatives due to their Karmic effects’ – just as we will pray for unknown.
– When praying for those who are in difficulty, pray ‘What you think is good for this Atma, please do that, and do that faster’

Most importantly,

– When someone prays for others, he/she dissolve their karma, they purify the stains that cover the Atma and begin to elevate themselves.
– Such a person’s prayers will take effect immediately as they continue to do so
– The Lord Almighty gives an opportunity for everyone to raise themselves up spiritually but the man who calls himself as having sixth sense does not understand this. It is the mankind who loses the opportunity, and who feels sorry for them is the Siddhas and the Lord.

My question: But the prayers are happening in the temples and in holy places. People indeed do their prayers in ways they know. Isn’t it enough?

“Good question. For a very thirsty person, how can a drop of water quench his thirst? Such small prayers aren’t enough to dissolve the amount of bad karma. How can 5% cross 95%?”

My Question: True indeed. How can one place their prayers to God? How should it be? How will such prayers cleanse the Atma? Can you please explain in detail?

“This is a good question too. But you have missed asking something. Can you think what that is?”

They gave some time to think but I could just not get it. I agreed I didn’t know.

“I said the Lord gives many opportunities for everyone right? If not all of them, you could have asked for a few examples right?”

I bowed my head down and requested them to explain a few examples.

He began to explain. Myself and the others around started to pay close attention.

Continuing the simple pathway to realization through Siddha Marga. “Make careful notes hereafter. One should give wholeheartedly. Only then it will bear its fruit even if reaches them. Anything given for the sake of it does not bear its benefits intended. This applies to the prayers submitted to the Lord as well, a reason why some prayers doesn’t become fruitful too. It is not a blame though. Humans are controlled by Kali, and he follows what others do in the material plane. They don’t do anything with total faith or mind. Just as they do any work in the material plane, let them do it with prayers also and see if it happens or not. It will.”

“What will you do when you spot a temple on the way?”

“I will enter the temple, have darshan and pray to the Lord”.

“What if you do not have the time to enter the temple, how will be your prayer then?”

“I will think of the Lord’s holy feet in my mind and pray, ‘please bless and protect every being O Lord'”

“Good prayer indeed. But still, have you observed what happens when you pray at that time, in that situation?”

“I have seen a human who looks just like me doing a sashtanga namaskaram in front of the Lord. But I will think that it is my mind that creates such an image, it is not real, and I will go my way.”

The wise man kept looking in to my eyes for a while.

He then looked around at the others and smiled, “That look-alike is nothing but one of the Shukshma Deha of yours. The body which is observing what is happening and to record. The body which follows you wherever you go!

You could pray when you see that body at the Lord’s feet thus: “O Lord, please take that Shukshma Deha and make me birthless, and offer the body to the Lord wholeheartedly. If the Lord is willing, he may dissolve the karma related to that Shukshma Deha or change it to another one. I am not saying that the Lord will dissolve every karma, he of course can. But he may will that you spend some in the same birth itself. There is another way to spend and dissolve all the karma and these shukshma bodies, much faster.” – he paused.

“Whenever you see a body prostrating in a temple, “Whatever form you have taken and whichever temples you are, these Shukshma Bodies are praying to you Lord. I thereby offer my namaskaram to you. Please take all these bodies and make me birthless.” – by praying thus, we could offer many a Shukshma bodies to the Lord himself, right?”

“Yes indeed. This is simple too. If this is true, then it is very easy for the mankind to cross the ocean of birth and death. They do not have to accumulate so much of hatred, grief and greed and suffer so much!” – I said.

“It is their doubt, disbelief, is this all possible, attraction towards material world, desire above all, are the blocks. They cause blockage to such simple things to be practised.

But even if someone tries to put this in to test, they have to face a potential danger, a test by the Lord himself.”

“How can a test from the Lord be dangerous? How can the man venture in to this then? You are showing a way and are mentioning it is too dangerous, how can the mankind be blamed for not venturing in to all these?” – my voice echoed frustration a bit.

“Humans always want everything to be easy. You do not know how much difficulty a Siddha goes through to get in to this path. The Lord has tested them like a gold in the fire.

Lord Shiva gave his abode to those who kept thinking his name, “Nama Shivaya” even when they were thrown in to the ocean or fed poison. Even if he gives a small portion of those tests to you people, none of you will fair. Such people do not have the eligibility to even question.” – he said very slowly but steadily.

I began to think if I had made any mistake or said anything wrong.

One of the others said, “Let there by debate, but let us not deviate. Let us continue the conversation. Please explain the test by the Lord and what is the danger too.”
